In fact one beef I had with LR (besides Adobe's business model ) was the way it catalogues. However ON1 has given me some pleasant surprises. The main reason for jumping ship from lightroom is that I'm not on "the cloud" and have no interest in being locked into subscription software, so I was prepared to take a little hit on functionality for the freedom. I've taken the jump from LR to ON1 RAW recently, and so far I'm glad I did.

ON1 PHOTO RAW 2018 SEARCHING ON LAUNCH UPDATE
Looks like there's another update in the wind. RODE Stereo Videomic Pro, DXO PhotoLab 5 Elite, DXO FilmPack 6 Elite, ON1 Photo Raw 2022 I don't know if either of them addressed my performance issue, but since I much prefer DXO Photolab Elite, I haven't bothered to reinstall the latest updates. Since then two updates to ON1 have been released. I own ON1 but uninstalled it because it ran so incredibly slowly on my i7 Windows 10 machine with 24 gb of ram. Has anyone using the program successfully dealt with the technical issues or was able to get the full refund? I tried contacting their "customer service" for a full refund, but there's no on-line form for such request, although they promote "full refund if unsatisfied."

Their technical support seems to be almost non-existent, as well. It seems like this is a very common problem reported by a bunch other users. Now, in spite of searching for all possible solutions and multiple reinstalling, etc., the program is effectively unusable due to constant hanging, freezing and extreme slowness in performance. It seemed to work just fine until I migrated my Lightroom catalogs to this program. I tried this program on trial and liked it just enough to purchase it at a discounted price of $69.99.
